Indonesian Earthquake and Tsunami

Thousands of families struggling to survive. They need your help!!!

A powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake rocked the Indonesian island of Sulawesi 28th September 2018 and triggered a devastating tsunami at Palu. More than 2,000 lost their life, many were injured and missing by the combination of the earthquake and tsunami.

A majority of the deaths have been in the city of Palu, the city is home to more than 380,000 people. More than 70,000 other people have been left homeless following the disaster, the earthquake was initially measured at a magnitude of 7.5 and later another earthquake registering as a magnitude of 5.8.

 

World Chefs Without Borders is working with our member at Jakarta organizing dried relief pack, water purification tablet and generator as currently only air relief transport allow.

We are planning a cook off on site at Palu when situation are more clear with all essential tools and foods.

WCWB with Electrolux are planning on rebuilding program to assist Indonesian at the Island of Sulawesi go back to their normal life, we need your continued support as it will take a little time.
